Sent letter, photo, and SASE to the Old Vic Theatre address in the database (he works there as artistic director and is starring in a play--doesnt really count as VV) on June 23, 2011. Received signed photo in my SASE on August 1, 2011.

Interestingly enough, it looks to have been postmarked in London, where I sent it (circles), and New York (wavy lines). I wonder why that is.
It looks authentic to me, but I havent seen a ton of IP examples--what do you guys think?
