Sent LOR, Photo, and SASE to the address in the database. Received a different photo back today signed. Dedication may be secretarial. Signature shines at the same angle as dedication under light, separate from photo. Examined under high light with my jewelers loupe and both signature and dedication show consistent color of silver with background showing through. Think its a pre-signed photo, but definitely legit. This is my first ever autograph request. Im not a collector, Im just a huge fan of Stephen Colbert and I used this site to get advice for getting an autograph by mail. Thank you! I used this address: Stephen Colbert c/o The Colbert Report 513 West 54th Street New York, NY 10019 I sent a SASE, but no photo; I asked politely for him to send one of his own. I wrote a nice fan letter mentioning a recent visit to a taping of the show and some other words of appreciation. I mailed my letter to him on July 7, 2010, and received my reply on April 15, 2013. I had long since given up! The envelope is a SASE, so thats my handwriting -- not much interesting to see in that photo. - -

Stephen Colbert Success!!! - 17 de April de 2013
Hi, I sent Stephen a LOR & SASE to the address in the database on 8/16/2011: Stephen Colbert c/o The Colbert Report 513 West 54th Street New York, NY 10019 - On 4/13/2013, I received one 8X10 photo in my sase signed and inscribed. However, the inscription appears to be secretarial. The marker color does not match the signature. This leaves me wondering if the signature is authentic or a pre-print. ¿Cómo enviar tus cartas de admirador y peticiones de autógrafo a Stephen Colbert?:
