Joyce Holden (born September 1, 1930) is an American retired film and television actress. Holden's screen debut was in Universal-International's The Milkman (1950). Her other films included Iron Man (1951), Bronco Buster, Girls in the Night (1953) and You Never Can Tell (1951). She also appeared on numerous TV shows. In 1958, she retired from acting after having appeared in 13 films. Lee Cozad wrote in the book More Magnificent Mountain Movies, "Holden found herself in a Hollywood that was awash with young brunette starlets and subsequently hung on for a couple of years, playing bit parts in 'A' movies and a few leads in 'B' pictures." On June 16, 1951, Holden married song writer Arnold Stanford in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were divorced on October 31, 1955. She wed her second husband, industrial real estate broker David Mannhalter, in 1958. The couple are active members of the Jehovah's Witnesses' Sent her 2 photos on 4 Jan and got them back signed on 15 Mar.... Sent Ms. Joyce Holden fan letter, one photo, and SASE on 03/12/2016. Got back a packet with personal letter, copies of the Bible, and a Jehovah's Witness booklet on 04/04/2016. Joyce Holden was born on September 1, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA as Jo Ann Heckert. She is an actress, known for Guiding Light (1952), The Werewolf (1956) and Terror from the Year 5000 (1958). She has been married to David P. Mannhalter since August 5, 1958. She was previously married to Arnold Stanford. Starred in a 1954 stage production of "The Seven Year Itch" at the Pasadena Playhouse in the Marilyn Monroe role.Had a seven-year contract with Universal but the studio dropped her option after five years. Discovered by Elizabeth Taylor's agent, Herb Brenner for Universal Pictures. Won several beauty contests, including "Miss KTLA-TV" and "Miss Southern California" of 1949. Had a stage mother who started her performing, dancing and singing, at the age of three. She and her mother moved to Hollywood after her parents' divorce. She was an alluring leading lady of "B" horror and crime drama, a former Universal starlet. Sent her 2 photos on 5 Dec and got both back signed on 11 Jan '16. Sent her this picture
