Former MLB Pitcher David Cone SUCCESS Now charging for requests - 18 de November de 2020

Sent a LOR, a SASE, and a 1996 Topps card. I received my card back signed in blue ink. A typed note was sent along with it saying that since the requests have been overwhelming, a $50 minimum donation PER ITEM made payable to The David Cone Foundation will be required. Cash not accepted. 10 autographs max. The offer will be guaranteed at least through 12/31/20 but may be extended. To the side it was written that an exception was made for my request. Probably because I sent it before this policy was implemented. Thanks Mr. Cone! (266 day turnaround)

Sent a LOR, SASE, and TC to : David Cone c/o Wish You Were Here Productions 303 E 83rd St Apt. 6A New York, NY 10028 Sent : 1/23/19 Received : 3/2/19 Sent me a typed-up letter saying this was a "one time exception". He accepts $50 donations per item. Only signs baseball cards, baseball, or flat items. David Cone MLB Success/Fail - 03 de February de 2019
Sent LOR, SASE, TC to David Cone on 1/23/19. Got back my card and LOR in my SASE today, but unsigned and with a letter attached basically saying that its really hard to guarantee your stuff will get signed, BUT if you donate to his charity, they can magically guarantee their signing, but only if you do it before a certain date. I am all for donating to a charity etc in exchange for an autograph. Nothing wrong there, but the way this was worded was really sketchy. Further digging into the email listed shows its to the VP of the David Cone Foundation who also happens to be someone in charge of a company that helps guarantee hand signed autographed items, etc....so take it all as you wish. David Cone Success! (MLB) - 17 de February de 2016
on 1/24/16 I mailed out a LOR, stamps, envelope and 1 Topps card and a 10 dollar donation for his foundation to an address in NYC that is listed as the David Cone Foundation. On 2/16/16 I received my card back singed in blue and a Thank You written on the letter I wrote him. A donation is not requested or posted anywhere, i sent something on my own, it was not a large sum either. ¿Cómo enviar tus cartas de admirador y peticiones de autógrafo a David Cone?:

Si lo que quieres es pedir un autógrafo, sigue las instrucciones de abajo. Si tan sólo quieres enviar una carta con la dirección de más arriba y no quieres nada más, ¡entonces deja de leer!
Si vives en Estados Unidos envía un sobre con el franqueo apropiado y tu propia dirección (tamaño mínimo 21.5 X 10 cm) junto con tu petición y una foto. Puedes incluir un trozo de cartón para prevenir que la foto no se estropee cuando circule por el Servicio Postal, y también añadir la frase "No doblar-Do not bend" en los sobres. Envía tu carta y espera. Por regla general, tardará como unos 3 meses en haber una respuesta. Si no vives en Estados Unidos, añade varios Cupones de Respuesta Internacional. Estos cupones (CRI) serán usados por el destinatario para canjearlos por sellos de correos comunes. Sólo puedes obtenerlos en tus oficinas de correos locales. Deposita los CRIs dentro del sobre, no pegados en él.
